Brad Hennigan
Narrative Engineer

As actor, technician, director, writer, and producer I have more than 30 years experience in academic, semi-professional, and professional theatre. I have worked with critically acclaimed theatres such as Dallas Theater Center, Deep Ellum Theatre Garage, and Dallas Shakespeare Festival, and prolific film and television producers such as Fox Broadcasting Company and HBO Films.

As a form of narrative expression, theatre offers a unique experience that always culminates in an exciting collaboration between artist and audience.  In seeking to improve that collaboration, I believe today's theatre must be willing to embrace the changing landscape of communication and expression, endeavoring to accept and incorporate the idiosyncrasies of the modern technophile. My 2013 production of Lanford Wilson's Book of Days at UTD is indicative of my desire to embrace and fold technology into live theatre (excerpts below).

I am currently a co-founder, collaborator/performer, and Artistic Board Member of the internationally acclaimed performance collective Dead White Zombies, a critically acclaimed Dallas-based group of malcontent theatre, performance, visual, sound, and installation artists dedicated to producing works that challenge and warp traditional concepts of theatre as narrative expression.
