Brad Hennigan
Narrative Engineer

I am a storyteller. I use many canvasses: the stage, the screen, the virtual. With 25 years of professional work under my belt, I am now committed to passing on my knowledge and experience through teaching, as well as continuing my own education through research, practice, and fruitful interactions with my students and colleagues.

I was born in Plano, Texas in 1964. After graduating from Plano East Senior High in 1983, I studied Fine Arts and Theatre at Lon Morris College and the University of Houston, including acting (Stanislavski, Uta Hagen), voice and diction (Edith Skinner), movement (Alexander), and stagecraft.  I left university in 1986 to pursue a professional career in stage, television, and film, working professionally for 20 years in Dallas and Los Angeles as an actor, technician, writer, director, and producer. In 2006 I returned to my studies at the University of Texas at Dallas, where I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Performance in 2008, Summa Cum Laude, and a Master of Fine Arts in Arts and Technology in 2012, with an emphasis on narrative engineering for theatre, film, and serious games.
